Stories with Hats

Hi, I’m Q, or Queevers, or Quackser or Caoimhin pronounced Queeveen.

Welcome to Stories with Hats. Stories about things and ideas, thoughts and sighs. Mostly wistful, maybe philosophical, possibly thoughtful, and hopeful sometimes funny.

If you like my stories, tell me. If you don’t, tell me too. I'll need a laugh, or a cry.

If you feel inspired to draw or paint a picture after reading a story please send it in and I’d love to put it up on the site. It would be such fun to have you share this website with me.

Stories and poems

Here are some stories and poems. We’ll start with A Long Sigh. This was my first and was inspired by Christian Morgenstern and his wonderful poem ‘The Sigh’ given to me by a great friend while living in Berlin. This got me going and off I went writing stories. I like words to sing. What’s a word but a sound, a note, a lilting vibration of sound harping in the air. Words together are musical, rhythmic, lilting sounds singing in your ear. I do hope you like them. I enjoyed writing them, and rewriting again. I’ll put them here for you to read.

I will add stories as the weeks go on but for now we’ll start with A long Sigh.
